Out Of Site presents Promenade, a day of live art along the Clontarf walkway to Bull Island. Out Of Site has invited 10 artists to respond to the Clontarf walkway. Promenade will use the sheltered bathing and seating areas, the walkway and the sea along the Clontarf seafront to present multiple performances to the public. The name Promenade refers to the walkway, the wandering from work to work and the notion of displaying oneself. Promenade engages critically with the methods of presentation of live work, while exploring new contexts and a diversity of approaches to one site. Promenade will draw people to the sea shore, presenting live art in this vibrant and active port.
By inviting some of the most esteemed artists in the field of live art in Ireland, Out Of Site will provide the public with an invaluable opportunity to experience live work of the highest standard. Featured artists include Alastair McLennan, Amanda Coogan, Dennis McNulty, Frances Mezzetti, Dominic Thorpe, Alex Conway, Sinead McCann, Michelle Browne and Pauline Cummins.
