Time: 12-6pm
Out Of Site presents Promenade, a day of live art along the Clontarf walkway to Bull Island. Out Of Site has invited 10 artists to respond to the Clontarf walkway. Promenade will use the sheltered bathing and seating areas, the walkway and the sea along the Clontarf seafront to present multiple performances to the public. The name Promenade refers to the walkway, the wandering from work to work and the notion of displaying oneself. Promenade engages critically with the methods of presentation of live work, while exploring new contexts and a diversity of approaches to one site. Promenade will draw people to the sea shore, presenting live art in this vibrant and active port.
By inviting some of the most esteemed artists in the field of live art in Ireland, Out Of Site will provide the public with an invaluable opportunity to experience live work of the highest standard. Featured artists include Alastair McLennan, Amanda Coogan, Dennis McNulty, Frances Mezzetti, Dominic Thorpe, Alex Conway, Sinead McCann, Michelle Browne and Pauline Cummins.

Your darling OPW officers broke the Royal Dublin Society barracks this evening to bring us the scoop on what is likely one of the dullest events on the Irish art-wanker’s calender, the Dublin Art Fair.
Ireland’s plumpest aristocrats, bridging the autumnal gap between the Dublin Horse Show and the Spring Flower Gala, were out and about, in search of a prize cut of culture to brighten their draughty Wicklow estates.
Perched like an island of wonder in a sea of twitching Avoca shawls is the exhibition’s most exciting endeavor. Aimed to showcase future art stars, “Platform” indicates a promising departure from the bland landscape painting, ikea prints and token big names all around it. Each of the four chosen artists created an expression of their unique world (one features a bleeding horses head). Our beloved Oisin Byrne is there and has his dreamy mind all spilled out for us and as allways illuminating the venue with positive vibes.
